Major Project: Graphic Designers Website
Web design is important, because it sets the first impression. It impacts how audience perceive my brand. It helps costumers to find what they want and it builds trust with them. A well-designed website is an opportunity for my business to showcase your unique features.
In this post I wanted to focus on websites created for professional graphic designers. Here are examples of what I found:
I found Brand Designer Jessica Jones’ website. This one I like the most. Jessica works with huge clients like Netflix but also create brand design for small to mid-size businesses. Her Home page is clear and easy to use. She is clearly defined what she is creating and for whom. Her page is categorised in two groups: brand identity design and surface design. She has portfolio, about me page and contact page. Everything is in the same design. She choose bright colours. Her background is white and every detail is preserved in the color of the logo.

Next page is Rebecca Watson’s website. She also choose bright colours. Her website is also divided in few categories. She has home page, portfolio, about page and design services. Her home page is short and more general but if we looking for more specific service it is easy to find. She also has clearly identified services. It is interesting that she also choose typography logo for herself. Last website that I found belongs to The Bespoke Brand Designer. Her page is the most in the style I am looking for myself. She uses bright colours as well but she chooses gold. Her page looks glamorous and “rich”. She also has portfolio page and categories services. She offers brand design and web design. One thing that is very confusing for me is that she uses more than 2 types of font that looks unprofessional. ![]() Photos from: https://thebespokebranddesigner.com/ To summarise: 1. Brand Designers use bright colours. For example Jessica uses orange that calls to mind feelings of excitement, enthusiasm and warmth. 2. After research I see that a lot of graphic designers use typography logos for themselves. They are trying to identify their brand with their name. 3. Every website has a portfolio page. 4. From every website it is easy to understand what kind of services they offer. |

Really great work here! I like the commentary and that you have researched many different people. I think you have added many "enters" at the end of your blog post, therefore there is a big space between the post itself and the comment section, maybe you could take a look at that?
ReplyDeleteAlso, identify the things you will do in your own website (context) in light of the research you have done here and things you wouldn't do! The large space at the end of the blog sometimes happens with copied and pasted elements in your post. I'd like to see more commentary on each of the individual pages to really show depth of analysis here.
