Major Project: Target Audience
A target audience is a group of people that I want to interest. To “build” my target audience I need to discover what kind of people are most likely to be interested in my service. I need o know what their problems is, how they feel about it and what they currently do to try and solve it.
For example.. I am young woman which want to sell my handcrafted items. I have skills to create my product but no one will buy it, because no one knows about it. This my problem and I feel sad about it and frustrated. To solve it I am trying to hire someone who helps me create my website where I can easily sell my products and someone who create ads about it to reach as many people as possible.
Another example.. I am man in my 40s. I have my small business. I already own a website and identity, but it was created a long time ago and market now is changing very fast. I can not get new costumers because I can not catch theirs attention. My problem is that I won’t be sell more of my product, because my audience is not growing. I need to find someone who will refresh my brand identity to be more suitable this days.
Who are they?
Usually they are young people, home business owners, people who launching a new business, people whose business outgrown and existing identity isn’t fit anymore.
Where do they find the information they need?
My target audience will search websites for freelancers, using Facebook and probably LinkedIn. In this days a lot of graphic designers create digital portfolios using Instagram. It could be one of the sources too.
What draws their attention negatively?
People do not like things that they do not understand. So I had to create clear and easy to use or read advertising system. They also will be looking for websites and portfolios that look professional.
Who do they trust?
It is important for me to get good reviews, have positive comments and great reputation, this will be base for potential all costumers to feel motivated to buy from me.

Really good work on your target audience research. I think it would be good if you added more commentary under the graphs, but other than that, it looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteFurther commentary and clarity on your target market would be good here - identify which areas of freelance work you might want to target as graphic design can be very different for different markets.
