Spring Term 2021: Art Portfolio, Week One

 Welcome back on my blog!

Now I am in spring term 2021 on Art Portfolio 1 module.

This term I would like to improve my blog and website. Last term was very intensive and hard for me because everything was new and a little bit confusing. I didn’t achieve all goals I wanted to. This term it will change.

During the Christmas break I visited my home country and I spent time with my family. I was in my family house so I had time to rest and focus on things I like to do. For example I watched hundreds of stand-ups. I watched new shows but also shows that i watched before. What I can say? I love stand-ups.

One day during when I was visiting one’s of my favourite graphic designers page - Adam Lapko. I saw new post with his nes collection of t-shirts. It was collaborated collection with one of my favourite polish stand-up artist - Mateusz Socha. They made t-shirts with the most famous and recognisable quotes from his show!

Look how awesome it is! On photos is Mateusz Socha it self.

“Ojoj” in polish language means something like “oh no”. Socha in his show tell us a story about how bad he is in conversations with other people. When someone tell him a sad story he doesn’t know how to behave and how to respond. The only thing he can think about is “Ojoj”

“Ile?” In polish language means in this situation “how much?”  Socha tells us a story about how he tried to borrow from his father. He asked as a kid about 5 zloty (1 pound) but for his father it was a lot of money.

Adam Lapko is a polish illustrator. He is an expert at illustration however he can design logos and brand identity as well. He lives and create in Poland. Sometimes he use classic techniques like drawing or painting but in the first place he is a graphic designer and illustrator.
Here we can watch his works: https://adamlapko.artstation.com/

  1. Good first post - be careful about using Facebook as a source - you mention that Lapko's work is on Artstation, that is a much more reliable source than Facebook! It seems to me from this post that you have a lot of enthusiasm for the artists you have chosen here which is good, keep that level up!
