Term 3: Welcome post!

 Welcome back on my blog.

We are in our last term after the spring term. During the break I spent most of my time reading. I used read all the time but my problem is that when i start reading I couldn’t stop. However during break I had more time that I could spent on seating, doing nothing and reading. The first book I read was in my opinion the best one and that is why I want to share it with you - “The Tattooist of Auschwitz” by Heather Morris.

Very heartwarming and heartbreaking but also scare for itself  way. Books tells story based on facts. It is history of one of the bravest man on the planet:

“In 1942, Lale Sokolov arrived in Auschwitz-Birkenau. He was given the job of tattooing the prisoners marked for survival - scratching numbers into his fellow victims' arms in indelible ink to create what would become one of the most potent symbols of the Holocaust. Waiting in line to be tattooed, terrified and shaking, was a young girl. For Lale - a dandy, a jack-the-lad, a bit of a chancer - it was love at first sight. And he was determined not only to survive himself, but to ensure this woman, Gita, did, too. So begins one of the most life-affirming, courageous, unforgettable and human stories of the Holocaust: the love story of the tattooist of Auschwitz.”

It is interesting when people that had ancestors who end up in this horrible place realise that every person there had to meet main character. And remember.. read every page not only the story!
