Considering my work in the real world

In this post I will answer questions that we discussed during our lectures.

1. What influence could your project have in the real world?

My project is to create Japanese Tea Shop, however I want my brand to be on European market. I think that my project could influence the real world by being the “feel like home space” for Japanese international students or for people who want to get to know the flavours of the other countries.

2. Will your project show a point of view or show something that might make people think differently?

I think my project is a way to taste something oriental. It might make people think and be curious about different culture and maybe about respect for people from other cultures.

3. How else does your work have influence?

People that will coming to my tea shop can relax and taste something different. Not only tea but taste the culture. It can influence students that want to relax, international students that want feel like home, other people that want to spent time with family in different environment.

4. Why is it important?

It is important to spread other cultures and make possibility for others to experience it.

  1. Okay, good answers. It is also important to communicate that experience to a range of people and this will be your audience as we discussed in the sign off tutorial - think about who can afford to go there, whether it would be passing trade or if people would travel to visit your shop. Remember too that your primary research would be to go into Leicester and find a location that you can photograph and use in a mockup of your designs.
