Planning Primary Research
In this post I will focus on my audience. I will consider what questions I would like to ask to be sure what people will like and will expect from Japanese Tea Shop. The reason that I want to carry out a survey is to know better my audience and create brand that will stay on the market and will be interesting for the costumers.
Why target audience is important?
Target audience is a group of people that are most likely to be interested in your product. It is important to know your audience and lead the project in a specific direction. If you know your target then you can make more personalised and detail product and advertising. It is easer to promote product for specific kind of people/audience than for general, big group when you are not sure that anyone will buy your product. Knowing target audience helps your company design a massaging strategy in way that will appeals direct to the type of costumers who are most likely to be your future costumer.
How I will define a target audience?
To know my future costumers I will create online questionary with questions that helps me develop my project and lead my project in best why to sell it and to gain loyal customers. Here are questions that I would like to ask:
- Are you female or male?
- Age
- education/living level? (student, worker, stay at home)
- international or citizen
- do you like other cultures?
- Tea or coffee?
- what price of tea is the most optimal?
- what do u think about Japanese culture?
- do u know what tea ceremony is? would u be interesting to know more about it?
- how much time do u spend in restaurants/cofe/tearoom?
- how you use the time you spend in the cafe? what u expect?
- what type of content would u like to see?
- would u buy a Japanese tea?
- why u wouldn't buy it?
- are u likely to make repeat purchases?
- how much are u willing to spend?
- did u heard or had experience with this kind of place?
- will u come back to this type of place?
The survey looks good with some well directed questions - what were the results of your survey? Post this information in a follow up post please.
