Poster Design
For my project I wanted to create 6 movie posters based on movie that I invented. It is story about war time. In my post when I added interview with my great-grandma I write down ideas that I wanted to create. But first I looked for inspirations. I wanted my posters to be simple and created by using simple shapes. The poster that I used as an inspiration is poster creates for German movie 'Der Golem, wie er in die Walt cam' by Paul Wegener.
'Der Golem' is a a movie from 1920. It is silent fantasy-horror about giant creature made of clay. This movie is the prequel to 'The Golem' from 1915.
I couldn't find the reliable informations about author of the poster to this movie, but I did find such name as a Hans Poelzig. He was German architect and set designer. He was appointed Professor of the academy of Arts and Crafts in Breslau (now Wroclaw - the city when I was born). I find his name mentioned in production describe. He created the film's scenery.

I liked colour pallet in this poster and minimalism. I liked that the author used only two colour to create whole city. I used this technique in my posters.
For every poster I used the same background, pallet colour, size and types of the font.
The second poster that I was inspired by was 'El Gabinete Del Doctor Caligari' by Robert Wiene.
Artist uses here also minimalistic colour pallet. He/she plays with the shadows. I used this technique in two of my posters.
