Poster: Process
In this poster I want to show the process of creating posters for my project. In every poster I used the same inspirations (you can read about it in my previous post). In every poster I used the same colour palette and the process of creation was similar.
Here I want to show one of the most important poster for me from all the outcomes. It shows my great-grandmother. To create this poster I used one of the photo of my great-grandmother as a reference.
To design it I used ProCrete. First I uploaded the photo, I lower the opacity of the photo and on the new layer I was trying to add the most characteristic parts of her face.
I was trying to add the shape of the profile and than add characteristic wrinkles and shape of eyes. I also added some shadows to create more depth on hair and neck. To draw it I used black colour and the calligraphic, smooth brush. Then I filed the shapes using bucket tool.
However, I had created different different colour palette for this project, so I changed the main colour.
Because I didn't want to have a boring, flat background I decided to add the shapes for depth, by using my choosed colours. The idea was to add colours in this way to play with shadows and shapes just like in 'El Gabinete Del Doctor Caligari' by Robert Wiene.
Then I decided to change the shape and add the frame. I saw that lot of the German Expressionism' German Posters have it. And at the end I added text and title that I created before. For title I used my handwritten design and for text below I used 'SF Movie Poster' font.
Because I wanted to keep the same aesthetic in every outcome, after I finished this one I thought that I miss the yellow colour that I used in previous posters. I sterted by experimenting with the colour of title, however I did not stick with it.

Add the tools in more detail with the screenshots and commentary.
